Considering 4 Phones. Who has experience with these 4?

Hi. Newbie here. I'm considering 4 different phones with Metropcs. LG Optimus L9, LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6 and the Nokia 512 windows phone.

Who here has any of these and can give your experience with them? I would like to see some user reviews to help me choose.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I don't have any of the phones (I've got an LG Motion 4G) you mentioned, but I wanted to say welcome to the forums.

Get the F6. If all you can afford is the F3 instead, still save up the extra for the F6.

That's the answer. You can dig around here if you want for the explanations why. ;)

and Welcome also!

Happy F3 owner here for about 6 weeks.
You can read the comments in the F3 forum for more detailed user feedback.

The F6 is very similar with a larger display (although not IPS) and IR blaster, you may not find any reviews on it yet because it was just released.

PhoneArena and PhoneDog usually have reviews on youtube and I did find the LG phones reviewed there from PA and the Nokia from PD. By the way I threw the Nokia in there thinking a windows phone would just be different and something to play around with. They say it has good call quality. The F6 was said to also have good call quality. I don't remember them talking about call quality with the F3 or the L9.

The Windoz deal breaker for me was hearing in one of the reviews that you can only use Windoz apps and there's hardly any (in comparison to Android). The 40 Mp camera sure got my attention though.

With a $300 budget you can see another good options thru BYOD. With that money you can buy a new Galaxy S3 unlocked on Ebay or on Craiglist. (100 times better than the F6)

I don't know much about the selection of apps for windows phones. I hope to find someone with a windows phone and learn what I can from them.

As for BYOD and buying something online - I am not one for trust and I've been burned from Craigslist before with computer items, although I've not had any bad experiences with ebay but then all I've done there is buy things like computer ram.

I also would prefer guarantees and local support and service. Also I'm not a heavy user so I don't know that I need the biggest best phone out there. I mentioned the Nexus 5 only because it will have a good price from google just as the Nexus 4 did and because it gets updates quicker and such. But it's more phone than I need. I'm more of a mid range kind of guy I guess.

All the feedback is a great help. Thanks everyone.

Laser,

If I HAD to buy a phone tomorrow, I'd lean towards the Nexus 4. I think it's a better phone than the L6 will be and it's here now. For now they are even on reduced priced at $200. IMO, That's a steal. I would prefer a phone with LTE also but coverage wise I don't guess that really matters and the HSPA+ is already much faster than Metros LTE.

The N4 is sold out, on Google Play.

When I went to google it said the Nexus 4 was sold out and I read an article that said there won't be anymore with the Nexus 5 due out at the end of the month.

Thanks for all the great responses. It does help. I plan to actually go look at the phones later today or early next week. That is something I have not done for several months and a lot of new phones have come out since then. Seeing them and holding them in my hand might help me decide.

agreed, in 2 weeks, for $300, once the craze of the note 3 has gone down, bet money you can grab either an s3, or note 1 or 2 for that price, and any of those will beat the brakes off of all phones you mentioned.

The nexus 4 isn't too bad either, it's a battery hog, the Xperia z has the same processor, but that's probably a little off budget, the note 2 has been my personal favorite out of every phone I've owned, and I've had them all lol

Or I have a rooted s3 I'll turn loose for 200. Not a year old yet.

the F6 or F3...but i you can wait till the end off the month for googles Nexu 5 announcement, you should. Nexus are meant to be budget phones so hopefully this one goes the way Nexus 4 did maybe a $400-$500 range

I checked Amazon for the N4 8G, no joy.

Fleabay to the rescue. There are bunches of the 8G there some going for very good prices.

For $200-250 now, I'd be doing that.

swappa for most android devices sold. far better/easier than ebay, etc.

nexus 4 is a good buy, nexus 5 will probably be more expensive. as far as windows phone goes you are on an android forum so you are gunna hear biased opinions, but if its any consolation i had a windows phone for 4 months or so. sold it yesterday on ebay and back to android.
