I had the same concerns. I'll let you know. So far it seems my batt life is just as good if not better. And I've been using it much more than normal(Setting it up and playing with it). I don't know if maybe my G4 batt was wearing down or something but it didn't seem to have as good of life as it did in the beginning. But the G5 so far seems to be equal or better. And that is with the "always on display" on. I'll be able to tell you in a few days. I'm done setting up now and should be able to test normal use batt life(my normal use). I never ran out of batt with G4. Every night i put on charger i had at least 30 to 40 left on a normal work day. So if this is the same i'll be able to tell you is it's comparable to your G4. So far it looks like it is

so far batt life seems good. Same if not better. I us for work and by this time i would be down in the 70's usually and i'm still at 82% right now. But who know maybe i haven't used as much today. But i am also playing with it more still because if being brand new. But i would have to say batt life should not be a concern if you want to switch. I love it so far. As long as you use the "App& home" version it's just a nicer G4. I love it. Much lighter and thinner also. It's almost like the phone isn't in your hands when holding the thing.

I thought battery life was kinda weak,,,, at first. after disabling some apps I don't use or want and setting some widgets to update info every hr. instead of every 1/2 hr. it's improved quite a bit.. being new to android and lg I've been giving it a workout.. I think the g5 is pretty awesome-- very fast, lightweight, very good cam (caparable to our lumias) even better really, best phone we've ever had-- we had icon's and a 735 with Verizon and 1520's with att pretty good phones in their own right.
