Help Constant loss of WIFI connection

Been having this issue for a while now, searched high and low for a fix but sadly can't find one. When ever I'm downloading a torrent or browsing a thread with lots of images the WIFI constantly drops then quickly connects again. It's not the handset as it did it with my last one as well. It can't be my Internet as my other devices have no issue. I have changed the WIF , settings using *#0011# and still no joy.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

it's obviously the torrent sites themselves. your connection is only a strong as the weakest link. torrent sites are notoriously over laiden with "leechers" making them sluggish. So even though your own internet is fast, the internet where the file is that you are leeching may be slow thus becoming the weak link in the chain. When there are loads of leechers or not enough seeders your connection can drop out. You will find this to be the case on your desktop also.

Since you have stated that the problem is nothing to do with your phone your question should be in the general section of the forum rather than the Samsung galaxy S3 section. Admins move post??

No please keep here. The issue doesn't only occur when downloading torrents. General Web page browsing also. I have dropped and connected twice typing this post!

i download torrents on my phone and never had an issue like this with wifi dropping. Try setting a static ip and see if it helps. Also check the option for keep wifi on during sleep and see whats that set to.

I tried this and it says it's connected but it doesn't let me do ANYHING with it (Fcebook/twitter/instagram doesn't update, websites don't load)
