Help Constant notifications

My S4 gives me a notification alert every 8 minutes on the dot. I have no new messages, updates to install, or alerts from any group such as the local news station. WHY WHY WHY is it doing this. Can any one help, I don't want to turn my notification off but this constant alerting is driving me crazy!
