Help Contact deleted by itself?

I'm currently running cm12. ONE specific contact of mine got deleted. It was saved on the phone, not on mail. But no other phone contact got deleted. Is this possible without someone manually deleting it?

May be there is some rogue application/software or virus infection that is creating the issues. Has your phone set to auto updated?

Do you have ‘syc contacts’? Your contacts can get vanished after you have synchronized the contacts with Gmail or with Gmail and Outlook simultaneously. The action may cause contact list corruption.

If you have back copy created previously of important contacts, you can get it back from there. If not, then use android recovery app such as Stellar Android recovery to recover lost contacts, call history and so on.

Note: For better safety, always have residual copy of important files and contacts exported to a safer place in advance.
