Yes, change the contacts name to match the facebook contact letter for letter, and then merge them
Then just select the contacts name, hit edit contact, then hit the menu button to get the option seperate or join and then there you go.

You can still do it. I merged my real name with my twitter username

I starred myself in my contacts so i could beam my info to people when i need to. I downloaded the official twitter app, which only displayed my codename on there. I also have last.fm as well which will let you sync to your contacts like facebook an twitter will. Anyway you sync your facebook contacts first to your phone. Then you make a google contact for that person as well and add all the info you want into the properties of the contact. Then you take an click on the google contact for that person, and then click edit contact. Then you click on the menu button while your in edit mode. It will pop up a new menu to allow you to join or seperate a contact. Click join, then browse for the person you want to merge with the contact your editing.
