Help Contact Favourites

I can't seem to work out how to show my favourite contacts as soon as I open my contacts app. It shows most recent contacts used, but not favourites.

Android version 7.1.1

Make sure you selected contacts as favorites, on my s5 the way it's done is, press on a contract and press on the star in the top right of the screen.
Now when you open contact, press favorites, you should see them on top

Open your contacts app and press the star for each contact you wish.
Done.
