Hi there, I am posting on behalf of my husband who is having problems with his brand spanking new galaxy s plus. I hope I will explain it clearly enough to allow you clever people to understand what is wrong.
He upgraded to a galaxy S plus and received the handset today. He put his sim card in from his old phone and proceeded to set up the new handset. As I test, I sent him a text, and that's where the problem began. He has my mobile number saved on his SIM, just as my real name. However, when I text him, the galaxy shows my name as "Me"....literally "Me" instead of my name and despite the the contact info on the phone being correct. When I call him, the call is displayed as my real name so its only text messages that the phone decides I need to be called "Me". We have tried the obvious - deleting my contact, switching the phone off, even went as far as a system reset but still no joy!
Can anyone advise on this please as its infuriating for my husband, as I'm sure you can imagine!! Would be very grateful for some assistance please!
