After the Verizon store copied my contact list from my Droid 1 to my new Droid 4, any of the contacts that were prefixed with *82 (to shut off private number blocking) don't have the asterisk any more. If I go into the contact list and manually edit the phone number to restore the leading asterisk, and save the contact, when I attempt to place a call using that contact, it doesn't use the asterisk. Worse, the dialer then assumes that the phone number that now begins with "82" is an international number, and adds 011 to the beginning of the phone number.
Without the leading *82, anyone that has private number blocking enabled causes an automated message that they don't accept calls from blocked numbers to be played.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
