Hi everyone, just got a new ideos u8510, Started loading my contacts by hand because i had a very old phone with no sim.
Got part the way through loading some of them and i noticed that i could only see half of what i had loaded (went into contacts scrolled down and it would stop at M), however when i searched a name i had imputed there contact details came up.
Went to where i purchased it and they had no ideas, there was a 2degrees guy in the shop and he said try sync the phone i did that.
I did notice there was no contacts on the sim card....im a little confused.
Used wifes sim card in my phone and was able to load her contacts and contacts scroll all the way through all her name however i still cant see half the contacts i imputed, only through search.
Going crazy....need help.
 
Hi there,

If you only just bought the U8150 and it won't accept contacts input manually then it really would appear to be faulty and I reckon you shouldn't waste any time on it - bring it back straight away for a refund or exchange. I don't think they would give you a hard time about it considering you have already been in the shop trying to get the problem sorted.

If not - Download from here:HUAWEI IDEOS - Huawei Device Co., Ltd..
Check English > Downloads > scroll to bottom entry > Download.

I was wondering whether you did the Import from SIM correctly? Cheers Neil.
 
go to display options when you press the menu button inside the contacts application

you will see choose contacts to display under that you will see your gmail address

click on it then tick all the boxes under it and then check your contacts if they are there or not.

ofcourse you need to enable the syncing first but what am trying to say here is that i didnt delete my account and added it again i just ticked some boxes and everything is back to the normal way .;)
