Help Contact recognition?

I just bought a moto 360 & when I try to send a text it says that I need to turn on contact recognition on my phone. Does the note have such a thing? I don't see anything in settings.

Are you asking because you are thinking about returning the Moto?
Would you rather get your phone working, or trade it in for a note 4?
I don't know what contact recognition is, and I've never been asked to turn it on. Are you saying you can't find this setting on the Note, or the Moto?

This sounds like the OK GOOGLE function/permission to access your contacts lists,as in "OK GOOGLE Call Jane Doe",etc....
The 1st time you attempt this,you'll be prompted to grant permission for access to contacts.Afterwards,smooth sailing..........

The moto has a voice control option to send a text message. When I try this option I get a message on the moto to turn on contact recognition on my phone. I have the note 4 & i dont see an option for this

Try using OK GOOGLE w/the phone only to send a text/phone call.
Then,try it w/your MOTO 360.
If that doesn't work,I'd take a look over in the MOTO360 Forum for guidance.
