Contact shortcut on home page

I've had the tab 3 10.1 for just over a week now and despite searching manuals, dummies guides and google I haven't been able to put skype shortcut contacts on the home page.
I've bought this tablet for my parents and want them to tap on a contact and then dial that person. I can put a contact on the home page but not put skype into that person's contact page. The box 'Internet Call' is not explained very clearly by Samsung.
I tried downloading Nova Launcher but that didn't seem as clear as it promised. It seems previous tabs had this facility, has it been removed or am I missing something?

On Nova, when you press the shortcut icon on the home page, there will be icons for voice calling (a handset), video calling (a handset and a monitor) and email (and probably a few other icons - those were on the contact I chose that I knew was linked to Skype). Press the video call icon.
