contacts after factory reset

sotofeded

Lurker
I am planning on selling my phone. So today i made a factory reset deleting all my data and took off the sd card before the reset.

The strange thing going on is that even having no contacta if i dial a number or someone calls me it shows up the contact name, no picture no anything just the name.

I dont want to sell it this way, where are this contact names being stored? Just to make it clear, after the reset i didnt set up a google acc

If you set up your Google account, any contacts you had stored in Google will come back to the phone, as Google contacts. After you set your new phone up and before you sell this one, I'd just do another factory reset, it'll kill everything.

It sounds like you may have some contacts also stored on your SIM card. Try clearing those.

Damn i feel so dumb! i haven't used that one in years, gogle contacts is so useful i didn't even consider my sim card because the phone its set to only showing its own contacts.

Thanks a lot roger, now when i take out the sim card it wont show any name :)
