Contacts Categories?

Is there any application that will let me group my contacts? On my old Palm E2, I could classify each contact, Work, Personal, Business, whatever I wanted. Then I could view the type. I can't figure out how to do that on the G1.

And while I'm at it, my E2 also let me color code events on the calender. I notice that the G1's calendar does have a blue color for events, but I didn't pick it. Is there a way to change the color coding?

Both of these can be handled on the desktop.

Calendar allows you to choose the color of the calendars you sync.

Contacts can be grouped in Gmail, into any label you choose and even double labelled like if you are best friends with your plumber.

I use StarContacts on the G1 but I think the regular Contacts app and the Phonebook (Market) app all recognize the labels.

The "Phonebook" app in the Market only allows you to sort by "All Contacts" or "Contacts with phone numbers". Though it has a great interface this certainly is a draw back of the app. This is however a "Lite" version so I am sure we will see future versions once the Paid Apps hit the market.
