I just got the galaxy s4 (sgh-m919) and have it activated through t-mobile. I paired it with my toyota prius (2012) and everything works ok. When I am at a standstill I have access to my contacts on the prius screen. But when the car gets above 7mph the contacts selection is disabled and I can't do anything with it. My previous phone (samsung captivate) did not do this. Any ideas on how to stop this from happenning would certainly be appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

It's a safety feature with the Prius as far as I know. I believe voice commands should work if you want/need to call some one. Also, did you sync your contacts? you can store your "phone book"in the Prius system for easy access.

I second the welcome to the forums! Our 2013 Camry does the same thing with my Galaxy S3 and my wife's Droid RAZR Maxx, so i agree that it is probably the car's safety features.

Toyota does have an app (Entune) that can pair your phone and a lot more information using your specific VIN.

Is this products protecting people from their own actions?

"Sorry mate, you can't make this call or send an SMS as we detect motion!" .... PC nonsense or whatever.
