Help Contacts not showing up in phone

I have Huawei U8150. I have it synced OK with MS Outlook. But when I just type in a new contact straight into the phone, it will not show up in the contacts list. However, when I begin to type in the name of the contact, it does show! I know someone else posted this question, but I didn't seem to find anyone giving a satisfactory answer.

My girlfriend was having this problem to but just figured it out. What she did was first reset the phone But this time instead Of Syncing with google she selected not to. So no the contacts Are Phone only Un-synced contacts. Dam Google Trying to make our lives easier but actually making things more difficult.

This was the only solution , the net didnt seem to hold any answers.

I had the same issue. My contacts show under Favorites.
What I did, was I removed my gmail account and put it again then sync (all check mark). Data Sharing - check! It solved.

i was trying to do the same and delete the account and start over syncing etc... then i found this when i was looking for another easier way without deleting anything .

go to display options when you press the menu button inside the contacts application

you will see choose contacts to display under that you will see your gmail address

click on it then tick all the boxes under it and then check your contacts if they are there or not.

ofcourse you need to enable the syncing first but what am trying to say here is that i didnt delete my account and added it again i just ticked some boxes and everything is back to the normal way .
