Apps Contacts\SMS backed up as .SBF?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I thought that developers could help most.

I recentlyI flashed my SG3 to froyo, and backed up all data with various software. Or so I thought. When I wanted to recover my contacts and messages I only found empty folders, which most likely means that I didn't copy the files out from the SDCard
Well, then I installed a basic windows lost file recovery software (EASEUS data recovery) since I formatted the sdcard, and I was able to find a file called EclairSMS.sbf. Now I haven't found any application that could open it, and all googling results into Motorola's flashing-related stuff or people with same problems but no answers.

So my question is, how can I open SBF file and probably restore my SMS?

The other file I have is "eclair.sbf" and It's over 500mb, that's got to be some sort of full backup?

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question, however I can suggest that, in the future, you should sue the app MyBackup Pro (there is a free version that is just as good, but i urge you to pay the small fee to support development). This will back up your contacts, apps, and app data to your sd card, at which you can pull off, then restore once formated. It also suports backing them up online so if you want to format your sd card, you don't have to manually pull them off then put them back on... i strongly urge you to check it out.

Yeah, I had made backup with Spirtebackup and titaniumbackup, and thought both of them were working. Then when I actually needed the backup I noticed none of em had made any.

But well luckily it didn't contain anything that important, just some personal messages I'd like to have recovered.

Thanks anyways.
