Contacts transfer

Hey guys, i looked for this for about 15 mins and gave up. sorry.. But i have a droid, and soon to get the droid x. Is there a way to sync my contacts with gmail so when i get the X i can sign in and they just get imported? the reason i ask is i have had trubble with verizon doing it themselves.. they always leave out a few for some reason.. Thanks in advance

Yeah, just go under your accounts and sync them, then when u get your x, sign into your google account and everything should come back! Contacts, paid apps, everything! Hope this helps!

Well see for some reason when i hit sync contacts on my droid it says "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" but i think i found something on exporting them to your sd card and i put them on my computer so maybe the X will be easy to import back onto phone. Thanks though G.

Oh! i got it but is there a way to delete duplicates when its on my phone? i synced and its like i have 2 of eveyrthing now... lol

Eh not sure.. I know there is a way, I just can't remember how. I think if you log into your google account on a computer that you can fix it that way.
