I really hope that Google gives us allo users some encouraging news during Google I/O this year. I like the app but I don't know anyone who uses it, no one I know has heard if it. I wish it was promoted more.
If you are waiting for SMS support, the Android Messages app will be the stock SMS Texting app in most upcoming phones this year and in the near future. Allo isn't expected to get SMS support.
