Help Continued Notifications For Text Messages

Good Evening,

I got my LG V20 on Monday. Since setting it up and having my text messages sync I have been having my old messages continue come up as notifications. This is when you drag down to see all of the notifications not in the secondary screen. I have cleared the cache and I have done a full reset. I am using the default Text messaging app currently.

Any thoughts on how to get this to stop?

I haven't seen this problem. Been using Textra and really happy with it. Lots of customization options. Any thoughts, anyone?

I decided to delete all old messages that helped. You like textra. How does it do with group texts and notifications.

Textra is nice. It does have a lot more customizations you can do over the default app.
