Contract is up and moving to Verizon due to coverage in my area, which phone to get?

Seeing that Verizon isn't getting the LG Nexus I've narrowed my choices down to three phones (US region):

Galaxy Nexus

Pros:

  • Looking at Amazon Wireless I can get it for $.01 (that will make the wife happy -_-)
  • It's a Nexus device so it will receive updates for a good amount of time (unless Verizon screws it up).

Cons:

  • It's just about a year old, the phone would be 3 years old at the end of the contract.
  • Due to age the specs are just OK.

GS3

Pros:

  • Good processor and 2GB RAM.
  • Relatively new phone.

Cons:

  • May have the general Android issue of falling behind on updates (I'm not super keen on going down the whole modding path, want to try to get as close to stock as possible).
  • May end up spending $150 and locking in on a phone that will be replaced with a new version in a couple of months (again another general smarthphone issue).

Razer HD

Pros:

  • New phone so it negates age concerns.
  • Getting good reviews.

Cons:

  • 1 GB RAM at this stage of the game is kind of skimpy and weaker then GS3. Quad cores becoming the norm in the next 6 months or so makes this phone look less attractive.
  • Shipped a version behind and 4.2 update will take probably take 6+ months.

I'm undecided at this point. Each phone seems to have an equal amount of drawbacks. Since the Galaxy Nexus has a sweet price and continuing stock Android support I'd jump on that but the processor is a cause for some concern.

So, what would you guys do? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just wanted to follow up on this. Decided to go with the GS3 due to the 2GB of memory, seemed to be the best way to "future proof" the purchase for the duration of the contract.
