Control internet browser behavior?

On my Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S), I could find a web site using the stock browser, open another program, and then return to the browser by either pressing the Home button or by pressing the internet icon. The browser would always return to the last web page I had open.

On my S3, if I get away from the browser, upon return it will always open a brand new instance and close any and all other open web pages.

Is there a setting to control this behavior?

To get to back to the page you were viewing, long press the Home button and locate the browser in the Task Manager page and tap. Your back where you left off.

Doesn't work like that on my phone. Whether I use multiwindow or home button, I am always taken back to my browser home page (which I've set to be google.com). I have to use the history to get back to where I was. And of course, if I was logged in, I have to do that all over again too.

Do you have developer settings enabled and under than have the system close a program as soon as you leave it?

The Help desk for one of my apps just took me there. The box was checked to destroy every process when I left it. So *that's* what that does!!
