control music player on phone remotely from PC over network?

I am would like to be able to plug my phone into my stereo in a different room and be able to control it over the network from my laptop (preferably via a webrowser). Is something like this possible? I haven not been able to find an app that will do this... i think there is a VNC server app that may make this possible but I have heard that drains battery quickly. I am hoping for a simple app....

thanks, but i think i need an app that is kind of the opposite of that.

i want to play the music from my phone over a radio with an aux in AND be able to control it from my laptop another room. kind of like airplay/airfoil for iphone. was kind of hoping for a free alternative to something like airbubble
