Control phone from computer

Is there a way to control the Galaxy from a computer? It's great controlling the computer from the phone, but can it be done the other way around?

You could try airdroid from the play store, works over wifi, phandroid did an article about it at one time

Totally awesome app. This Is perfect. Another Is myphoneexplorer but this beats myphoneexp hands down!

Yeah the last update even makes it possible to control your phone from a computer even if the phone is not on the same wifi network, it has a lot of nice features, definitely a great complement to the android system

Airdroid works great, however it's limited. They offer an upgrade, but if I try to get the upgrade I can't find out the cost of it let alone proceed to buy it! I found a blog about the issue. there are a lot of complaints about the upgrade offer.

I used AirDoird for quite a while and loved it, but after the recent update to version 2, it stop working properly. It would only see music in the music designated folder, so my own hierarchy system on my SDcard was invisible and impossible to explore, add or remove files. While there is no problem with it for the stock player.
I also get frequently jammed at the log in page, where pressing the "Accept" button, does nothing.

I moved to SnapPea , tho I will check AirDroid periodically, hoping the futures versions will be better. I do love that app.
