controlling an external device with Android over USB

Hi,

Anyone has experience with controlling an external device from an Android phone via the ISB interface ?

I am thinking about using an external camera connected to the Android via the USB port; that would allow me to take pictures with higher resolution or with different optical lenses, like a FishEye

Currently Android does not support being a USB host out of the Box, However it is possible with the right code which will not be easy to make , it Cost alot and be time consuming.
