convert 1080p mkv file to my xoom pixelation

First, you shouldnt have to BUY a program like that. Handbrake does it better then any program, and its free.
Second, you may not need to convert the file if its already 1080p mkv. Mkv is just a container, and the codec used may already be h264. Download MediaInfo on your computer, open the file in there, switch to Text View, and copy the results here so we can see.

Yeah, I think you can use Handbrake, but I don't like to use it because it's not so easy-to-use to me, I'm using Leawo MP4 Converter. I think you can try this free version, As I know Xoom support MPEG-4 format with H.263 & H.264, and most of android devices support this kind of format.

Well said. Handbrake is more than capable of such conversions. And if needed, there are other free converters, so buying such a software is waste of money.
In reaction to MediaInfo: perhaps it is better to post two results - one of the original 1080p video and one from your converted video. There might be obvious mistakes in conversion process.
thank guys. i had used some free software including handbrake. but they are difficult to operate for me. so i buy the professional and easy-to-use software. for this pixelation problem, their customer support personnel has solved the problem. and I do not have this problem on other videos, this may be caused by chance. their software is quite good for me.
I don't know why because I can only see some output profiles with iPod devices. Is Handbrake only for iPod devices?

The roots of Handbrake come from Mac. That's why you have presets for "i"devices. However, it is also suitable for a wide range of other devices.
You can make your own presents, based on the available ones.
Simply select one of those (for example "Universal"), modify it to your liking, click on ADD under presets and give it a name. You can also make that a Default preset.

It seems that the free ones are bad. I have tried some. Sometimes it only convert a portion of my files. Sometimes the converted files are bad in effect: noise or image distorted.
At last, I think it is better to buy one. One of my colleagues told me rer MKV Converter,was not bad. It turned out ok. I like it for it is also easy to operate.

I disagree. The free converters are just as good as the paid ones. You can do just fine using simple converters, but you can achieve superior results if you know how to tweak conversion settings for each particular purpose.
