I just switched over from the iPhone and most things I've been able to figure out or track down solutions online, but I can't seem to find out how to do the following.
1. How do I import PDF files and photos from my MAC to my phone?

Your collective knowledge and help is greatly appreciated.

Athird party app that may be usefull in your situation is LazyDroid:

LazyDroid is an app that gives you remote access to your Android phone. As soon as it is set up on your handset, LazyDroid gives you an IP address and port. Then, you just have to open your web browser and a web-based desktop will appear synced with your phone’s data. You will be able to view your text messages, contacts as well as your files. Here’s more, if your phone is rooted, you can even have access to a remote view of your phone’s screen. That’s cool!

It works with Wifi, USB, etc...

Check out Dropbox. Would be an easy way and first thing that comes to my mind although I am sure there are several ways to it.

Would I be able to drag and drop these files from my MAC to a MSD card and then put it in my phone? My card and reader should be here by Tues. and that would make life a bit easier.

Yes, you can. Just make sure you download a pdf reader like Alkido or Adobe Reader.

Or you can load to dropbox, SugarSync or GDrive.

Or, you can email your pdf and a few pics. Or you can Bump app with your pc now, by touching your phone to the space bar. Or download the Photo Transfer app that can send photos back and forth from any pc, mac, iphone, android phone or tablet. :D
