Cops get a lot of bad press...

But I still think the bad ones are pretty rare.

And there are those who are just outstanding people, who also happen to be LEOs. Like this guy. Put yourself in his uncomfortable position and think if you would have though to do this much in this way.

When a fatal car wreck on Halloween night claimed the lives of a young Georgia couple, state Trooper Nathan Bradley responded to the accident and was tasked with delivering the devastating news to their family.

Bradley and two other officials knocked desperately at the front door of Donald and Crystal Howard's home in Newborn. When the door finally cracked open, four young children answered. They were dressed in their Halloween costumes.

Kudos to that trooper.

here in our little rural town, we recently had a similar occurrence, don't have names or links.
With only 3 city patrolmen, and one chief of police, they have to go the extra mile.

The chief's salary is $14.50 an hour, would you work for that?
The patrolmen get $11.50/hour.
Our K9 officer was hired just two weeks ago, he works for nothing but love from his handler.
( this K9 officer with only 6 hours on the job snagged a felon wanted for drugs, and warrant evasion)

when I meet these gentlemen on the street, I stop to visit with them, and I always thank them for their service to our community.

yes.. I do think there are lots of good eggs... but the bad ones.. do really stink up the whole bunch.

and it is sick how they get away with murder! literally
