Cops shoot dogs (NSFW)

It's no secret that Criminals make me grumpy. What the cops do here is criminal. In a town about 2 min from here a cop shot his neighbors lab off duty. This guy is very know for being a prick and finally put his house up for sale after the neighborhood asked him to leave.

I know there are good cops, but doing nothing about the bad ones not only hurts the lot of them but it gives citizens a reason to dislike and distrust them.

That's messed up.

What we don't know is why the cops shot the dog. I know my German Shepard puppy is extremely protective if she doesn't know who you are. The barking in the video sounded exactly like my dog sounds before she'll attack.

Not being there and not knowing what was happening means that we are only left to guess.

let's not speculate. The suspect said "he was probably trying to play with you..." so you could "guess" the dog wasn't just standing there and may have been growling. We don't know so don't judge the cops from this video

Sure, SWAT is supposed to take their job very seriously. But doesn't this seem a bit over the top? Especially when you find out this "big-time drug dealer" was just a guy with his wife, kid and pets. Oh and had a tiny amount of marijuana.

It makes me wonder, who signed off on the warrant. They should be more at fault than anything. What kind of leads could they possibly had? This is pretty botched if you ask me.

I don't think that's a good way to go with this. Bad cops need to be removed....but not shot. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. In the end they are just dogs, but willful destruction of property is hardly called for if their life wasn't being threatened. Pit bull...maybe, corgi...not in a million years. 7 shots to get the job done...some ones needs range time and/or counseling.
