copy and paste

Hi, I was just about to ask how to copy and paste text but in the process of writing this message I've worked it out; hold one of the 'up arrow' keys and scroll tracker ball over desired text before holding tracker ball down. Easy. Though I now feel faintly ridiculous.

I cannot figure out how to do it, although I am looking to post somewhere suggestions and feedback on the android and my suggestion for copy/paste was somewhat similar to what you're saying.
