Help Copy .pdf file to Moto G

I downloaded a .pdf file of 273KB to my Windows PC. I have attempted to copy it to my Moto G. Copying and pasting to Computer\XT1039\Internal storage\Download results in 'Copying...' dialog going on forever without completing so that I have to 'Cancel'. Using Send to>XT1039 results in a dialog appearing eventually informing me the operation cannot be completed. What am I doing wrong and is there another way? I wish to open the .pdf file in Quickoffice unless there is a better choice.

Solved. I had overlooked completely ES File Explorer on my 'phone. It worked perfectly.
