Copying music from PC to storage card

Hi - this is probably a very silly question but I'm not sure how to copy music from my PC to the storage card. I have a Wildfire S and the only instructions about this in the manual are that you have to copy music files to the storage card to play the music app. So I have attached the phone to the PC as a 'removable disc'. This opens okay but I can't see a folder for storage card or similar. The media folder has holds a sub-folder 'notifications' but nothing about music. Can anyone help? (and apologies if this is such a dumb question). Thanks

Try the winamp app; download to your pc and your phone, open winamp on the pc and follow the instructions. Worked very well for me.

Read up and see if you wouldn't be happier using the Google Music app. It works great on my Milestone X. I used to use my sd card for my music storage until Google came out with the app. Now I never put music on my phone. A lot of Google's services are buggy and a pain to use but their music app is easy to use.

I have a 16g card so I have more than enough room to put it on the card. I just don't think there is any reason to not use the app.

Give it a look and see what you think. You just upload from your PC and stream to your phone. Another thing is you can buy music from Google Play and don't have to move it from place to place.

Google music could be another viable alternative as mentioned, keep in mind that you need to be able to access your carrier network and have an unlimited data plan or wifi available. You can download favorites to your phone for offline use, but then that defeats the purpose and forces you to decide which music you might want to listen to in the event that you have no signal. If you use your phone in an area where you are always connected, this obviously is a non-issue.

Make a folder on the SD-card called "music" or "songs" or something appropriate, copy your MP3s to it, including album folders if desired. The phone's music app should just scan and find whatever music is on the SD. That's what I do.

Agree jts just that simple, also one more thing about useing cloud for music is that it will drain your battery much faster then just useing a simple app.

What Mikedt said. I've always just used the drag n' drop method. Never used a program for syncing. Doesn't give enough control. And the media player in Android will automatically scan for new music.

So if music is not on the sd card, but in the cloud or Google music, then it can't be listened to in airplane mode, correct?
