Corrupt Files on microsd

Hi
I've read on the forums about problems with sd cards unmounting and not being recognised. My problem is that the files are becoming corrupt. This has happened on 3 different cards over the past months both on s3 and s4, on san disk and samsung cards.
Last night I inserted an sd card into the phone and copied all my photos to here. By the morning the files corrupt (lots of files appear with symbols as the name and I can't delete this or anything else of the card). I reformat the card through the phone and just now I have copied my music to the card and this was playing fine whilst stored through the phone. The files have corrupt already.
In the past when the micro sd has errored whilst in the phone and I have reformat, I haven't even been able to copy files from my laptop onto the card through a card reader without files corrupting.
Is anyone else having this problem? It's so frustrating!!!
Thanks :-)

iirc, this problem was a contact issue. some people were reporting success by putting a piece of scotch tape on the back of the SD card, making it slightly thicker and causing it to make better contact.

I also heard that some anti-virus apps cause SD card corruption.

My sister's card in her Note 2 became corrupted even after I fixed it on my PC. I deleted this weird looking directory from her card, fixed the card, had her remove the anti-virus app, and she hasn't had anymore issues.
