Help Corrupted OTA Update

I have A Motorola Razr HD. On Monday 5/12/2014 I received an OTA update. The update didn't work and now I cannot access my phone. When I force a soft reboot (power & volume down buttons) I get a message about "System UIDs Inconsistent" and then a bunch of pop-ups listing all the services that have stopped. No Verizion network access, no wifi, no USB, no phone SW, nothing. Just a black screen with the pop up messages.

There is critical data on the system (SD card 0) that I need to recover. I can access the Droid Triage screen. I tried to wipe the cache partition but when I reboot the phone after doing that, it tries to continue the update and fails, which throws me back to the System UID screen, etc.

I downloaded the file Blur_Version.9.30.1.XT926.Verizon.en.US.zip (which seems to be Mondays update) and tried to update from the SD card (SD 1). It begins the update but then posts the message:

"Package expects build fingerprint of Motorola/XT926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.2/9.8.1Q-94-1/57:user/release-keys or motorola/vanquish_vzw/vanquish:4.4.2/KDA20.62-10.1/10:user/release-keys; this device has motorola/vanquish_vzw/vanquish:4.4.2/KDA20.62-10/10:use"

I have a pic of the screen but cannot post it (new user restriction).

Which update file do I need (and where can I find it) to fix my phone so I can backup my data? Or is there another way to recover my phone that Verizon has bricked for me? As I said, there is critical data on the phone that I absolutely cannot lose.

Verizon and Motorola have been unable to help for the past week (though I did get a VERY helpful Verizon tech who called back repeatedly over the week to let me know they are trying to find out how to fix it but I have not heard from her in 2 days).

Someone, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, help me!

Give them at least a week. They're trying to reproduce the problem and that's not easy. (It once took us 6 months to reliably reproduce a software problem - and the guy trying to reproduce it was the same guy who had written every line of the code, so he knew it as well as he knew his own thoughts. A customer actually came up with the way to reproduce it on command.)

If there's no solution by, say, May 23, call them on May 26 and ask if they can just replace the phone. (The legal concept here is that they broke it, so they own it, but see if you can get a replacement without resorting to more than a "please".)

This is all moot, of course, if you get a call before Friday.

If you end up needing to get a new phone, call Motorola for the exchange. You will get a brand new device instead of a refurb from Verizon

See if this thread helps you at all.

[Q] How to get rid of "System UIDs Inconsistent"? - xda-developers

If I read this correctly the OP can't do a new phone as he needs the data. My guess here is the data was not backed up before doing the upgrade.

My guess here is either you originally have 9.18, instead of 9.30, or the file is the maxx version. I lean much more toward the first guess though.

Yeah, I stupidly did not back up the data first. I have a problem with my data being on someone else's servers. But I guess it's better there than lost.

Verizon did call back yesterday but I missed the call. Hopefully I will hear from them today.

I have the Verizon maxx hd and it was on the 9.30. This is why I think you need the 9.18 file version for the upgrade. Again I could easily be wrong but this is just a best guess for the extremely limited information that I have.

Well, my travels are over and am finally back home. Anyone have any more ideas on how to recover my phone? I really don't care much what version of the OS it runs, I just need to get my data backed up off this phone that Verizon soft bricked on me (I can get into the triage screen). Please, any help at all....
