Could you please help me decide which phone I should get for my first smartphone?

This is my first post so I apologize if I posted it in the wrong forum.

So I want to get my first smartphone. I have narrowed it down to the HTC Desire S and Samsung Galaxy S. I realize they're old phones but I'm on a budget and I can get them both for a low price.

What I like about the Desire is that it has more RAM and an LED Flash. It is also slightly smaller and a lot better looking. The Galaxy S is better in a lot more areas but it has no flash and I've heard that Touchwiz isn't very good.

I want to use the phone mainly for gaming, music and I need a decent camera. I want to play games like Dead Trigger. Does more RAM mean faster gaming? And is the SGX540 GPU a lot better than the Adreno 205 or are they the same?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I'm torn between the two phones? Which one do you think will suit me better? Which one is faster and/or better at gaming?

Thank you. :)

Hi Rumzii and welcome to the Forums. :)

I'm kinda leaning towards the Desire S as it seems to have slightly better specs than the Galaxy S. Will look into it more for you. :)

Samsung Galaxy S.

I had terrible experience with HTC phones. Never ever buying HTC again.

I had the Desire S back in the day and it had the death grip issue where if you tilt the screen, you will have no WiFi connections.

This also happened with the HTC Sensation. Also the HTC One X has terrible antenna build quality and some batches do not have any 3G/4G LTE and WiFi signals. That means no Internet.

The Galaxy S is far more better my Cousen has it and He also plays Dead Trigger. And Very Very Minimal Lag on it Mostly on the Start up but overall in game. No Problems its a great phone.. The Adreno 205 is Outdated at doesnt play GTA 3 Well on it.. So Go With the Samsung Galaxy S.. The Desire S indeed has more ram But The Graphics Matters more.
