Count Apps for Gmail and Yahoo?

I have the Gmail and yahoo apps on my phone running Android 5.1.1 and i like to see a count on the Gmail and yahoo icon so can see how many emails i have.

so is there any Apps that i can download so when i look on my home screen there is a count icon on these apps?

Will the plugin work on its own or do i have to install the Launcher as well?

You have to install the launcher as well.

It has an import function though, so you shouldn't need to spend too much time setting up homescreens etc again as it can read the icon/widget placements from you current launcher.
