I got myself a T-Mobile sim card and a prepaid plan for $30.
(unlimited data, 100 mins, etc etc)
I whacked the sim into my old Nexus One and it works just fine after going thru proverbial hell over the invalid activation codes they are apparently sending out.
That said... I have noticed that their coverage in my area is night and day different than it was almost 3 years ago.
I get H in the house but as soon as I pick up the phone it drops to edge.
(Anyone remember the infamous nexus one pick-up signal drop issue?)
I get 2 bars for the most part but I have seen 3 sporadically when it's on the table.
Signal hovers around -101 to -107 on the table.
I don't want to pass judgement on them just yet because in past years there was no H here at home, it was edge only.
They have since expanded the coverage substantially according to their maps.
Does anyone still have their original Nexus they can compare to?
I am interested in getting a One S potentially but before I plunk $600 down on one I don't want to have sub-par coverage here at home.
I am just wondering how much better the radios are in newer phones over the old Nexus One powerhouse (I still love this phone!)
