Crackling noises during filming since Nougat

Hi everybody,

since my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge made an update to Android 7 (Nougat) in the past weeks, videos which I'm filming at loud locations (for example a nightclub) get heavy crackling noises afterwards.
I never experienced this before and also I did not drop my phone or anything.
This came since the update and is really annoying, since you don't understand a thing from any song I'm filming.
Anybody noticed something similiar or could tell me what I could do against it?
All videos I'm currently doing are just useless.
If anybody is interested in before/afterwards videos, I can provide them.

Thanks in advance,
Marco

Sounds like the device Mic is getting feedback from sounds bouncing off of objects or walls that will produce a slapping or cracking sound in the audio playback.

Remedy: Try not to stand so close to what you are recording due to very sensitive microphone feed.

I would understand this if this was the case since beginning, but in the same location with the same soundsystem in front of me and the same circumstances, I can not really understand why this suddenly happens since the update

Update: I already saw videos from other people which have exactly the same crackling noises as me. So seems it's not only me, but really related to Nougat

Ok, /PUSH the problem to Samsung then, let them know about it, as it sounds very much like they've done something and now need to rectify it, possibly with another update.

I would suggest they've made a change in the way records sound and sets levels with the Nougat 7.x update, and it now disagrees with loud volumes, i.e. it's clipping horribly.

BTW this is not the first that's reported problems with recorded sound on Samsung phones in nightclubs, raves, live music, etc.
