Crap. Now i think my power button is going out

Now what? I swear it never ends with This phone. Today the power button decided to stop working on command. It requires extra presses to get it to work

Anyone experience this? Solutions?

Worst case scenario i have to flash a kdz and claim it under warranty and pay my 15 dollars but is there another solution?

Depending on frustration level, but if you only use button to turn screen on and off (and occasional power cycle) there are various apps that will work as a free alternative. You might start there first.
 
Nope, if you are rooted, you should use an app like Quickboot so you cut down the use of the power button in half.

Double tap to wake should also cut down use of the power button.
 
Nvm. It appears the power button was stuck. I really thought it was broke and was using a weird plug the phone in and unplug it while holding various button combinations trying to trigger it to power on because its happened before unintentionally and after 10mins at a time the phone would eventually power on

But in the process of me hammering on the buttons i got the power button to unstick itself and now my power button is working again.

So if this happens to you assume its stuck first. I was just about ready to wipe my data and flash the stock rom so i could claim this under warranty from metropcs but now it appears its not necessary.

Try taking some alcohol on a cotton swab and thoroughly scrubbing buttons. Should take care of that.
