Create a Brand list and item list

Hi
I'm stuck for over six weeks trying to solve this problem, I need to create a tab list (i did it), after that, I need to create a brand list (inside Catalog tab), and when I choose the brand, it shows all items related to that brand. I don't know what concept to use, it's better to create two list views or to create 2 fragments or there's better way, or can you give me the best keyword to search.
please I need your help because i'm so depressed .

You mean a filter? I'd use the action bar for this. Some ideas here
