Help Create App Launch on Bluetooth Connection

Iv searched online but not found a solution to the above, hoping someone here could help!

I drive a company car and one of the tasks I need to carry out every time I start a journey is logging my start and end mileage. I have a handy little app on my phone for recording this, the problem is on days when we are really busy and I'm running around like a headless chicken I keep forgetting to record the mileage in between trips. To remind me, I want my mileage app to launch once the phone has connected to the cars Bluetooth, for example like the Tomtom speed camera app does. Is there a way to do this or does an app exist that can automate these sorts of tasks?

Im currently using a Huawei Honor 10 with Android 9, the phone is not rooted.

You may need something like Tasker also....

I think tasker is the way to go, but there is a learning curve.

Thanks guys, will give that a go. I did find a good app called automate after my original post, worked spot on at first, however it stopped working the next day and not been able to get it to work since.
