Creating an App

Anyone have an idea for a good place to start for creating a fairly simple app that is really just a slight (but important) tweak on 1000 GPS mapping apps already out there?

Go to the Android site, download the SDK and Eclipse, run through the tutorials and see if you can work out how to do your tweak.

You need programming knowledge to do this, I assume you're not an expert since you probably wouldn't need to ask otherwise.

yeah, no programming experience here but I'll pay nicely for a freelancer to do this for me.
