Creating two views in activity, In which one View overlaps half of the first

Hi,


I am trying to design layout in which two views are present
one is tab view and the other is TextView
the tab View should overlap the TextView upto half of its area either from right to left or from bottom to top.
i am not able to achive the same using the linear and grid layout
Help me on the same.
