Cricket games from IndiaGames. 'Connecting to Server' problem.

Being an Englishman I'm quite a fan of cricket, and there is no cricket in Inner Mongolia. So I thought I would try some of the cricket games from IndiaGames which appeared to look quite promising. Screenshots look good, reviews seemed favourable. So I installed one, and it just gives a black screen with an ominous message "Connecting to Server", and that's all it does. In fact all the cricket games from IndiaGames exhibit this behaviour.

For a start, I don't like the sound of this "Connecting to Server" message, that sounds extremely suspicious to me. Phone is online via WiFi, so it should be able to connect to whatever remote server these games trying to reach, evidently it cant and so the game wont start.

Has anyone else tried the IndiaGames cricket games. and found similar almost spyware like behaviour from them? The games in question are 'Cricket Worldcup Fever', 'Cricket IPL T20Fever' and 'Cricket T20 Fever' all from IndiaGames and free in the Android Market. I've uninstalled them all, just in case they are spyware.

Out of curiosity I tried the free 'Cricket Worldcup Fever' from IndiaGames again, still getting the 'Connecting to server.' message then nothing happens, it's like the server is not there. I did email IndiaGames in Mumbai about it two days ago, still awaiting a response.

Some games require an internet connection for online play, but AFAIK 'Cricket Worldcup Fever' is not an online game. I know many free apps and games are ad-supported, however they work just fine even if there is no internet connection or ad server available, one gets no ads, but the apps or games work OK.
