Cricket Wireless-ZTE Sonata 4G SIM card change detected...

This question is on behalf of my mom and her phone. She's had the Sonata for a few months, but has had so many problems with it it's insane. Currently, she gets a popup every once in a while (at least 4-5 times a week) that says SIM card change detected. Some other issues include: being able to receive SMS texts but not send them (that just started today), apps randomly close when using them, camera app gets buggy and won't show "preview" icon on bottom left/won't take pictures, SD card is "corrupted" (which I know it's not, because it works fine in other phones/on a PC), and a few other things I can't quite remember. Now, I have to admit, I'm still kind of new to the Android world (and yes, I love it!!) so I don't really know what other info to put in here. Her phone is not rooted, she hasn't downloaded anything that would cause problems, etc. If anyone has ANY ideas of what would cause these issues (mainly the SIM card issue), the help would be very appreciated. Thank you!!

Sim issues like that are hard to troubleshoot its honestly probably a bad Sim reader.. One thing you can try though is to clean the sim..

Could all be software issues to. Have you tried a hard reset yet?

Thank you so much for the quick reply! I ended up fixing it...I did a reset on it and made sure there was no gunk inside her phone, and it's now working again (well, at least the texting is lol). I haven't heard too many good things about that phone from other people, but she just doesn't have the money to buy a new one. I really appreciate the tips!!
