Cross platform video chat (EVO to PC)

i need an app that has a pc counterpart for video chat. i want top be able to get in touch with my momma via my EVO as soon as i get out of Basic Training. i have been trying every app. fring does not have a working pc app, qik does not seem to plan on this either. skype just released a app who only supports Voip phone calls no video(fail) and none of the conventional im apps are supporting video either: aim, talk, yahoo. did i miss something:mad:? is there one?

Qik is the only app that does Evo to PC calling and it isn't very easy to set up.

Fring used to support Skype calls back in July but Skype pulled that. Yahoo messenger video is due out soon. There's a very good app called Tango who's team is working on a desktop client. Skype is going video before the end of the year. Google is also integrating video calls into the next version of Android.

Check over at XDAdevelopers.com. Type in the search (or google it adding XDA Developers) "Yahoo Messenger Video Chat Android". Someone got it from an upcoming rom and it works flawlessly! I used it this morning from my Evo to our desktop computer.

Official version should be out REALLY soon if this one is that good.

I've been using this app for awhile now. My kids PC chat with my EVO and it workds great. You don't have to keep pushing that pesky mic to speak. You just sign in find your desired contact and click. The app will allow you to Video, Voice, or IM. Here is the best thing:

INTERNATIONAL communication is FREE!!! AWESOME.

Do add me on your friendslist when you on online.
