Cupcake Manual Screen Lock

Hi All,

Bofore Cupcake the Hang up button used to lock the screen, but for Cupcake it does not work, Please help me figure this out, We cannot wait 15-30 seconds to auto screen lock before we put the phone in the pocket....
 
If you click and hold you get a pop up window, just as before except with more options now. If you quick press it goes black. I agree, works fine.

I wonder if there are some apps that change this function or the function of the key.

Could that be your case?

I am afraid, It does not work for me that way, I wonder what's blocking that feature...?
 
If the phone is rooted there is an option in "spare parts" to change the function of the red end call button. Check there to see if its been changed.

If it's not rooted...then you must have a developer phone...

I don't think you can access that on a retail phone O.o
 
I was told in another thread to download the app in the market, Spare Parts mentioned above....check into that it might help.

I downloaded spare parts the other day, and yeah, my non rooted, no dev, OTA update ONLY G1 w Cupcake seems to be able to use spare parts. Like the keyboard animation and haptic feedback options.
