Current list of rootable phones?

Been out of the "game" for a while, have an LG G3 that has root and a custom rom that I love, but am looking to move to a new phone next month, as I have an upgrade available!

Problem is, every single phone I have seen is still locked down tight by VZW. Samsung GS7...nope. LG G5...nope. HTC 10 looks to be the only one, and it isn't really a 10/10 device imo.

Even the One+3 wouldn't be an option since it isn't compatible with the CDMA network, well not LTE. I really like having an SD card and removable battery, but at this point it looks like I'm SOL.

Does anyone know what can be rooted and unlocked to work on the network that is a current model year phone?

If you want a current model year phone, you may have to wait for the Nexus. I'm not sure if the Axon coming out will work on Verizon. The Moto ones will be droid branded and probably locked down big time.
