Hello all. This is my first topic. I've been browsing for awhile, but now the time has come for me to start asking questions (and maybe eventually giving answers). The community seems great (and the emoticons are too good), so I look forward to becoming part of it. :musicus:
My contract is nearly up with US Cellular and I don't plan on renewing. I was wondering if I could simply Root it using the Cricket method, and then go and sign up with Cricket using my current Ascend II without having to buy a new phone too (plus Ascend II isn't available in my area anymore apparently and I like it)?
Would this work?

EDIT: I did call Cricket, and the lady said it should be fine, but I could barely understand her (heavy accent). She just said I would need to pay 20 bucks to flash it, but not if I can do it myself.
