Custom Font on Note 3

Hello, I just purchased the Note 3 (previously had an iphone) and was wondering if anyone can help me with installing a custom font. I tried using MyFonts with ES File Explorer, watched a few youtube tutorial videos etc to no avail. I also converted the ttf file to apk and it still doesn't work Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to do this? The font I want is walter turncoat. I have it installed on my phone already, just trying to get it to work.
